Ideas for a New Constitution in Kenya.

Our MP's stand and are elected by the people of the constituency whether people like the guys on the posters or not, but that's beside the point!

My point is, as we all know that every District in Kenya has very many villages and I'll give Bureti District as an example & what might be considered for our new constitution making! Say Bureti has 400 villages and am only guessing here, now, each village chooses one person they like to represent them in whatever goes on both in the village and the District levels! So then all 400 chosen ones will now go to the District where they'll now choose one person amongst themselves to be the District Representative in Nairobi and he doesn't get any higher pay than those in the District level, except for addition expenses only! He also doesn't have any higher powers than those in the District neither! So all representatives will now be meeting in not parliament as we know it now, but instead will instead be just "National Assembly"

The 400 village leaders will then be the ones coordinating with or between both the villagers and the Nairobi representative on village matters, needs and development! And if the villagers at any one time feel their representative in the district isn't doing his job, then they have the power to recall him or her at any time and be replaced immediately! So that at the end of the day, the villagers are the ones in control and have all the powers the way they want!

Jackie!
